Katina Volitich received her degree in Biomedical Engineering from Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology, where she graduated Summa Cum Laude. While she maintained her 4.0 average, she took part in school activities and societies such as the Society of Women Engineer, Biomedical Engineering Society, and Alpha Lambda Delta Honor Society.
Ms. Volitich received acclaims for her outstanding academic performance throughout college, including the Heminway Gold Medal, Heminway Bronze Award, Paul N. Bogart Prize, John T. Royse Award, Carl Wischmeyer Award, and Samuel F. Hulbert Outstanding Biomedical Engineering Senior Award. As an engineering intern, she imparted her knowledge in the field of biomedical engineering to companies such as Medivative Technologies, National Instruments, and Rose-Hulman Ventures.
At present, Katina Volitich works in the orthopedic industry as an engineer at Paragon Medical. A strong engineering professional, she is skilled in project management, Design Control, SolidWorks, NX 10, Raspberry Pi, and NI LabVIEW. Her accomplishments as an intern include having designed four test fixtures to aid in the production of neurosurgical devices and becoming a Certified LabVIEW Associate Developer. Ms. Volitich was promoted to Project Engineer after 11 months of working at Paragon Medical as its Design Engineer.
